Some visitors have mentioned challenges with staffing, particularly during peak hours when there may be only one server on duty. This can lead to longer wait times for food and service during busy periods. A few guests expressed disappointment regarding the rice served with certain dishes, indicating it didn’t quite meet their expectations. Occasionally, the restaurant's efforts to improve can lead to minor inconsistencies as they adapt to new management, leaving some patrons wishing for more variety on the menu. Despite these critiques, the overall dining experience is generally positive, with many choosing to overlook these minor issues due to the quality of the food and the warmth of the staff.

I really enjoyed my visit here. The food was delicious, especially the crepes and the grilled chicken skillet. The restaurant is under new management and still working on the menus, but you can tell they care about getting things right. The staff was very friendly. There was only one waitress working when I came in, but she was polite and made sure everyone was taken care of. Even the cook came out to check on guests, which was a nice touch. I will definitely come back :)

Staff was extremely friendly & inviting. I've never been to this restaurant but they made my husband and I feel like we were regulars. Servers made sure our coffee/pop was always full and the food was hot, fresh and very very tasty. Will bring family & friends next time. My husband had Biscuits & gravy with corned beef hash while I enjoyed the spinach Benedict (pardon the pic I couldn't wait to eat 😄) Delicious! Thank you for the enjoyable experience.

Saw that this place has 4.5 starts so decided to give it a try. Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday a little bit past 12pm. The first thing to note if you're going to stop in here is that the parking lot is in the back. And there is plenty of parking. There is a door around the back, but you can also go to the front entrance on Pulaski. There wasn't many people when I arrived (5 in total including me). I walked to the front of the restaurants and let the front desk staff know that I was there and I was told to have a seat anywhere I'd like. One of the things that caught my eye was the gorgeous painting of the Aztec calendar. The colors are so vibrant! I sat in myself and the woman at the front desk introduced herself as Kathy and proceeded to provide me with a menu, utensils and water. She was very pleasant and shared with me that they were short staffed and that she wanted to apologize in advance. I ordered the chilaquiles with salsa verde and carne asada on the side. When my order arrived, I was shocked at how big the plate was. The carne asada was cooked to my liking (medium well) and so were my eggs (medium well). The chilaquiles were GREAT. I don't like it when chilaquiles are soggy and these were NOT - they had a crunch to them, which I really enjoyed. I want a fan of the rice, but I have to note that it wasn't horrible either. The beans were good and complimented the meal. Overall, I had a good meal and the service was GREAT. Kathy was very attentive and she sanitized the other two tables after they left. I highly recommend this place. I'll be back with my family.

Sunrise is becoming my new Chicago breakfast spot. The service is great and they are very accommodating. The portions are very good for the price. The service is usually quick as well. The staff is great with the kids and very patient with spills, extras and making sure we have what we need. I highly recommend.

Great vibe, wait staff were very kind, and the food was pretty good. Breakfast plates are average $10-$12. Used a local Local Flavor coupon. We ordered the veggie omelette with swiss cheese, hash browns, texas toast and a side of hollaindaise sauce and another od the same plate with french toast as well as the nutella and banana crepes. We were in and out pretty quick. Would like to try lunch and soup next time.

Customer service is beyond excellent, bacon, pancakes, red velvet waffle, and especially the COFFEE are all excellent. This might be my new favorite breakfast restaurant based solely on the taste of their coffee. So if coffee is important, this is certainly a place to check out (I always drink it black). My only minor complaint is that the hash browns were a little crunchy on the outside, for me anyway. Will definitely go again.
